It’s a great base from which to explore the stunning countryside around Strangford Lough and is ideal for walkers, cyclists, canoeing and kayaking. Newcastle and the famous Mourne Mountains are within a half-hour drive.
Strangford, which is five minutes away by car, is one of the most picturesque villages in Northern Ireland. It has shops, pubs, award-winning restaurants, and a ferry terminal for the short sea trip to Portaferry and the Ards Peninsula.
