To book, contact the owner directly.A large converted cowshed and stables consisting of its own entrance, hallway, lounge with features and a built-in integrated kitchen. A large bedroom with a king size bed and a bathroom with an original free-standing bath.
The Byre also has a hidden utility area with a washing machine, ironing board and iron. This area is behind mirrored doors.
The Premises are centrally heated, has a wood-burning stove, constant hot water, a large television and WiFi.
Car parking space is available at the front of the Byre and we are pet friendly.
The scenery from the entrance of the Byre is the Mourne Mountains with Slieve Croob in front. Driving, we are 20 minutes from Belfast City (Titanic Belfast, Crumlin Road Gaol), 20 minutes to Newcastle, 1 hour to Dublin (Trinity College, Dublin Zoo) and 1.5 hours to the Causeway Coast to visit the Legendary Giant’s Causeway and Game of Thrones® filming locations. Republic of Ireland including Donegal Town is 2 hours away. Buses and trains run regularly to all these places.
The Byre is a quiet idyllic retreat for visualisation and meditation, escapism, slowing down one’s pace and being one with nature. Red Kite Birds are being reintroduced into our area. Cyclists pass on a daily basis and many clubs are local. Artists come to paint. The views and the countryside are stunning, a real place to find one’s inner self. We are pet friendly so just let us know if you have any individual needs.
