Honeysuckle Cottage was built around 1880 ‘where the Mourne sweep down to the sea’. You will find the original Sash windows, historic cast iron fireplaces (deko) and a working wood burning stove. Although recently renovated, the cottage still has a lot of the period features.

There are two bedrooms upstairs with nice sea views. The bathroom (shower and bath) is on the middle floor. You will have a dining and a TV room. The fully equipped kitchen can be used for home cooking. There is a washing machine and dryer available. There is some outdoor space to the front and the back.

The Newcastle harbour area is very popular. There are restaurants and bars nearby as well as a small grocery shop. Newcastle with further Restaurants and entertainment is only 15 minutes walk along the seaside. The Mourne Mountains can be accessed (via the Granite Trail or Donard park) directly from here.
