Poetic Action (Acción poética) was started in Mexico by a Mexican poet and spread through many Latin American countries to Spain, but as far as we know, the movement has not reached beyond Spanish speaking countries. So Rostrevor, is the first village to host a Poetic Action, not only in Ireland but, in the English speaking world.
The project consists of painting lines of poetry, a saying, a verse or a line of a song on walls in the village. The letters of the poetry selected will be projected on a board where the outline will be marked and the letters filled in with black paint by the community during a specific day.
